Work
It does not matter how slowly you go so long as you do not stop.”
— Andy Warhol
Dear Friends and supporters,
These last few months I have been literally buried in archival footage. You will be amazed and happy with the amazing footage I am uncovering. WOW. I so much look forward to sharing this with you.
I have hand cranked through almost 200,000 feet of film and watched 180 video tapes. We are starting the actual transfer in the next few weeks. Thank you for allowing this work to begin. I still have a long way to go before finishing.
I have almost finished creating the Mike Allen DVD those who ordered this thank you for waiting They will arrive sooner rather then later ,although still a little more work to do. I am also finishing cutting some great interviews with people who knew my uncle. Also my early art films are being re-trasfered and are very David Lynch influenced.
Of course the film DVDs will be a while, an investment really. Thank you for your faith in me,
it’s a documentary and a lot of work for only two people.
We thank you yet again, much love,
Marah,
soldier of cinema
In the early eighties Carl Boenish coined the acronym “BASE” (standing for Buildings, Antenna, Span, and Earth, the objects jumped) and invented a sport. Carl was the catalyst behind modern BASE jumping; an electrical engineer and filmmaker who believed that BASE jumping would allow mankind to overcome artificial limitations. He religiously chronicled the early days of BASE in beautiful 16mm film, often with cameras mounted to the jumpers’ heads. He saw BASE as the next amazing thing to film. Subscribe via RSS.
